Batangas and Cavite

Church in Taal, Batangas
I have the first time that I went to Taal, Batangas. Basilica of St.Martins of tours was the biggest church in the Orient at Taal, Batangas. It was built at 1755 but it was rebuilt a century later after it destroyed by earthquake in 1849. The Church was completed in 1878 when Spain ordered Filipino people to make the Church same time again. I am aware that Filipino people were patient to make the church for a long.

I entered into the Church, I saw the altar was originally but some of the ceiling have broken so that its rebuilt the ceiling was made again because it’s so beautiful. I felt wonderful because the walls have design and the altar is gold. It’s more beautiful.

In front of the church was the old Casa Real which was built from 1846 to 1850 by Augustinian Celestino Mayordomo. I am aware that Old Casa Real was kind and good man because he was willing to give something for a poor people.

Escuela Pia

Escuela Pia was originally constructed in 1853 to temporarily house the Virgin and hold masses during the construction of the Basilica. She became home of the Colegio de la Sagrada Familia for school. She taught the lesson, music and training because she wants to encourage to poor people become aware and education and self-worth as value in cultural center. I felt wonderful because Escuela Pia was really willing to teach other poor people even she loves them.

Marcela Agoncillo

Marcela Agoncilla has husband named is Felipe Agoncillo and her five daughters when she made sewn hands with her daughter by first Phlippines flag because she was willing it for Emilio Aguinaldo. She gave it for him on June 12, 1898. I felt proud because Marcela Agoncilla is really willing to make sewn the Philippines flag when she had good idea it as she was responsible.

Filipino people believe that the image of Our Lady of Caysasay refuses to stay still in its niche, it is moved from Taal Basilica every Thursday and moved back on Saturday afternoon. Devotees of Taal lovingly refer to her as Birheng Gala (Wandering Virgin). Her feast Days are celebrated on the 8th and 9th of December. I have pray that I have need to make wish for the future.

The well with its miraculous healing waters.

The town is famous for the century-old mass production of the sweet brittle made with peanuts and heavy brown molasses called panutcha.
